Eligibility

  • Be a University of Missouri degree-seeking student.
  • Have a minimum cumulative MU GPA of 2.5.
  • Have completed at least one semester of coursework at MU.
  • Be in good standing with the University of Missouri.
  • Be regularly enrolled in classes during the academic year.
  • Demonstrate participation in the veteran or local community.
  • Previous recipients may reapply in subsequent years.

Requirements

  • Complete the MU Student Veteran/Military Scholarship application.
  • Submit a typed letter addressing the scholarship committee's required questions.
  • Discuss academic merit and involvement with the veteran or local community.
  • Discuss plans for personal and community development during the following year.
  • Discuss the applicant's impact on veteran or community organizations and their impact on the applicant.
  • Discuss leadership characteristics.
  • Submit a resume detailing honors, military or student activities, leadership positions, military rank, and community or volunteer activities.
  • Submit required military documentation, such as a Member-4 copy of DD-214 or military identification.
