MSGCU High School Excellence Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a graduating high school senior in the Class of 2026 for the current published cycle.
• Reside within the MSGCU field of membership.
• Attend a high school or technical campus in a community served by MSGCU.
• Have proof of acceptance to an accredited two- or four-year college or university.
• Non-members may apply but must become an MSGCU member if selected as a scholarship recipient.
• MSGCU members must have accounts in good standing.
• Have not previously received an MSGCU scholarship.
• Employees and officials of MSGCU, their immediate family members, and persons living in their households are not eligible.

Requirements

• Complete the MSGCU scholarship application.
• Submit proof of acceptance to an accredited two- or four-year college or university.
• Submit a resume outlining school activities, academic achievements, and community service.
• Submit a 250-500 word original essay.
• Submit a high school transcript.
• Request a letter of recommendation from a teacher.
• Ensure the teacher submits the recommendation by the application deadline.

4. 4Upload proof of acceptance to an accredited college or university.

6. 6Write a 250-500 word essay explaining how education has helped you and how receiving the scholarship would help you accomplish your goals.
7. 7Upload the required high school transcript.
8. 8Initiate the teacher recommendation request through the application system.
9. 9Confirm that the teacher submits the recommendation before the deadline.
10. 10Submit the completed application by the published annual deadline.
