MSGCU High School Excellence Scholarship

The MSGCU High School Excellence Scholarship supports graduating high school seniors from communities served by Michigan Schools & Government Credit Union who plan to continue their education at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or technical campus. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, school involvement, community service, an essay, and a teacher recommendation.

Eligibility
- Be a graduating high school senior in the Class of 2026 for the current published cycle.
- Reside within the MSGCU field of membership.
- Attend a high school or technical campus in a community served by MSGCU.
- Have proof of acceptance to an accredited two- or four-year college or university.
- Non-members may apply but must become an MSGCU member if selected as a scholarship recipient.
- MSGCU members must have accounts in good standing.
- Have not previously received an MSGCU scholarship.
- Employees and officials of MSGCU, their immediate family members, and persons living in their households are not eligible.
Requirements
- Complete the MSGCU scholarship application.
- Submit proof of acceptance to an accredited two- or four-year college or university.
- Submit a resume outlining school activities, academic achievements, and community service.
- Submit a 250-500 word original essay.
- Submit a high school transcript.
- Request a letter of recommendation from a teacher.
- Ensure the teacher submits the recommendation by the application deadline.
