- Be age 25 or younger.
- Be the qualifying child of a member of the United States Armed Forces who served on active duty during World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, or Afghanistan.
- The service member must have been a Montana resident when entering military service.

- Pursue qualifying undergraduate education.
