Eligibility

  • Be a qualifying dependent of Montana military personnel.
  • The military sponsor must be able to claim the applicant as a dependent for income-tax purposes.
  • Attend or plan to attend a college, postsecondary school, vocational-technical program, or trade school.
  • Applicants who themselves belong to the Guard or another military organization are not eligible.
  • Previous scholarship recipients may apply again in subsequent years.

Requirements

  • Complete the scholarship application.
  • Submit an academic transcript.
  • Write one or two short paragraphs describing your goals in life.
  • Submit a letter of recommendation from a non-relative adult.
  • Provide the school's finance officer name, address, and telephone number.
