MnACC College Scholarship

Eligibility

• High school applicants must graduate from a Minnesota high school.
• High school applicants must have at least a 3.0 cumulative unweighted GPA, with a 3.5 GPA preferred.
• High school applicants must enroll at a MnACC member institution for the upcoming fall semester.
• Current college applicants must have graduated from a Minnesota high school.
• Current college applicants must have at least a 3.0 undergraduate cumulative GPA.
• Current college applicants must be enrolled full-time at a MnACC member institution.
• Students attending a four-year MnACC institution must meet the program's remaining-enrollment requirements for the applicable award cycle.
• Community college students must have completed at least one year as a full-time student or intend to transfer to a four-year public or private MnACC member institution.

Requirements

• Complete the MnACC scholarship application.
• Submit two short-answer essays.
• Submit unofficial transcript or transcripts.
• Submit a resume.
• Submit one letter of recommendation.
• If selected, verify enrollment at a MnACC member institution by providing a student ID number and fall course schedule between July 1 and August 31.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm that the college or university is a current MnACC member institution.
2. 2Review the eligibility requirements for either high school seniors or current college students.
3. 3Complete the online MnACC scholarship application during the March 1-May 1 application period.
4. 4Write the two required short-answer essays.
5. 5Prepare an updated resume.
6. 6Request one letter of recommendation.
7. 7Gather the required unofficial transcript or transcripts.
8. 8Submit the complete application by May 1.
9. 9If selected, provide the required student ID number and fall course schedule between July 1 and August 31 to verify enrollment.
10. 10Scholarship funds are sent directly to the recipient's institution and applied to the student's account.
