MMUA Utility Workforce Scholarship

Eligibility

• Live in the state of Minnesota.
• Enroll in a utility-related career program at an eligible institution.
• Eligible career pathways include powerline or lineworker, gas operator, water and wastewater operator, phone and broadband, GIS specialist, and other utility-specific programs.
• Complete the scholarship application.
• Provide two letters of recommendation from mentors, employers, or teachers.
• Answer the two required open-ended questions.

Requirements

• Complete the MMUA Utility Workforce Scholarship application.
• Provide two letters of recommendation from a mentor, employer, or teacher.
• Answer why you are interested in becoming a utility worker in your chosen field.
• Describe your knowledge of the utility sector, specifically municipal utilities.
• Keep each required written response within the published 500-word limit.

How to Apply
