Eligibility

  • Be a qualifying public safety officer permanently and totally disabled in the line of duty, eligible spouse, or eligible child of a qualifying officer or employee killed or permanently and totally disabled in the line of duty.
  • Dependent children must generally be under age 24.
  • Be a Missouri resident and U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Enroll full-time as an undergraduate at a participating Missouri institution, subject to disability exceptions.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
  • Not already hold a bachelor's degree.
  • Not pursue theology or divinity.

Requirements

  • Complete the Public Service Officer Survivor Grant application.
  • Have required sections completed by the appropriate third parties.
  • Submit documentation verifying the qualifying public employee, line-of-duty event, and family relationship as applicable.
