Eligibility

  • Be a Missouri resident and U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Earn an ACT or SAT qualifying score within Missouri's top qualifying tiers.
  • Achieve the qualifying score by the June test date immediately following secondary-school completion.
  • Enroll as a first-time full-time student at a participating Missouri institution in the academic year immediately following high school graduation or equivalent completion.
  • Not pursue a theology or divinity degree or certificate.

Requirements

  • Ensure ACT or SAT scores and Missouri school choices are sent to MDHEWD.
  • Students using an ACT Superscore must ensure the Superscore is separately sent to MDHEWD.

How to Apply

  1. 1Take the ACT or SAT and meet the qualifying score.
  2. 2List at least one approved Missouri institution with the testing agency.
  3. 3Send qualifying ACT Superscores to MDHEWD if applicable.
  4. 4MDHEWD identifies eligible students without a separate scholarship application.
