Eligibility
- Be pursuing post-high-school education during fall 2026.
- Be a Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union member or the child, grandchild, or dependent of an MVFCU member.
- Plan to attend a public or private postsecondary institution.
- Return to school for the spring 2027 semester in order to receive the scholarship funds.
- Meet all application requirements established by Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union.
Requirements
- Complete the Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union scholarship application.
- Provide the requested applicant and educational information.
- Submit a written essay of approximately 500 words or a 2-to-4-minute video addressing the annual scholarship topic.
- Explain a significant personal experience that shaped who you are.
- Describe how the experience influenced your educational and career aspirations.
- Explain the lessons learned and how those lessons are applied in daily life.
- Follow all submission guidelines established by the credit union.
How to Apply
- 1Confirm that you or your parent, grandparent, or qualifying dependent relationship connects you to a Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union member.
- 2Complete the scholarship application form.
- 3Choose between the written essay and video application option.
- 4Identify a significant personal experience that genuinely shaped you.
- 5Explain how that experience influenced your education and career plans.
- 6Describe the lessons you learned and how you apply them today.
- 7Review the submission carefully for compliance with the scholarship guidelines.
- 8Submit the complete application before April 1.
