Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be pursuing post-high-school education during fall 2026.
• Be a Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union member or the child, grandchild, or dependent of an MVFCU member.
• Plan to attend a public or private postsecondary institution.
• Return to school for the spring 2027 semester in order to receive the scholarship funds.
• Meet all application requirements established by Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union.

Requirements

• Complete the Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union scholarship application.
• Provide the requested applicant and educational information.
• Submit a written essay of approximately 500 words or a 2-to-4-minute video addressing the annual scholarship topic.
• Explain a significant personal experience that shaped who you are.
• Describe how the experience influenced your educational and career aspirations.
• Explain the lessons learned and how those lessons are applied in daily life.
• Follow all submission guidelines established by the credit union.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm that you or your parent, grandparent, or qualifying dependent relationship connects you to a Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union member.
2. 2Complete the scholarship application form.
3. 3Choose between the written essay and video application option.
4. 4Identify a significant personal experience that genuinely shaped you.
5. 5Explain how that experience influenced your education and career plans.
6. 6Describe the lessons you learned and how you apply them today.
7. 7Review the submission carefully for compliance with the scholarship guidelines.
8. 8Submit the complete application before April 1.
9. 9If selected, complete the fall semester and return for the spring semester to receive the scholarship funds.
