The Minnesota State Fair Scholarship supports Minnesota postsecondary students from rural communities or students enrolled in agriculture programs. Students may pursue any field of study at a four-year university, community college, or technical college. Up to 22 scholarships are awarded annually with funding provided through the Minnesota State Fair Foundation.

Eligibility

  • Be a Minnesota resident.
  • Be from a rural area or be enrolled in an agriculture program.
  • Attend or plan to attend a postsecondary institution during the current year.
  • Be entering the freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year at a four-year university, community college, or technical college.
  • Indicate anticipated participation in the Minnesota State Fair.
  • Previous Minnesota State Fair Scholarship recipients are not eligible to receive the scholarship again.
