Eligibility

  • Work for a Minnesota Medicaid-certified nursing facility that participates in the Nursing Facility Employee Scholarship Program.
  • Most eligible employees must work an average of at least 10 hours per week in the licensed nursing facility, although exceptions apply to certain eligible expenses and training.
  • Pursue an allowable course of study, education, or training expected to lead to career advancement within the facility or in the field of long-term care.
  • Meet any additional eligibility requirements established by the participating nursing facility.
  • Facility administrators are generally not eligible for scholarship expenses reimbursed through the program.
