Minnesota ASHRAE University of Minnesota Scholarship

Eligibility

• Pursue a mechanical engineering degree at the University of Minnesota.
• Maintain a College of Science and Engineering GPA of at least 3.0.
• Demonstrate interest in heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
• Plan to take at least one course related to heating, refrigeration, or air conditioning.
• Support energy conservation and sustainability.
• Join the ASHRAE Student Section.
• Plan to attend at least two local ASHRAE meetings.
• Consider a career in HVAC&R.
• Demonstrate interest in community service.
• Have at least two regular fall/spring semesters remaining when applying.

• Complete the University of Minnesota mechanical engineering scholarship application.
• Provide academic information.
• Demonstrate HVAC&R interest and career plans.
• Demonstrate commitment to sustainability and community service.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm mechanical engineering enrollment and at least two regular semesters remaining.
2. 2Complete the scholarship application during the spring semester.
3. 3Demonstrate your HVAC&R, sustainability, and community-service interests.
4. 4Submit the application according to University of Minnesota instructions.
5. 5Scholarships are awarded early in the fall semester.
