Eligibility

  • Graduate from a high school in Michigan or Florida.
  • Michigan applicants receive preference when graduating from Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Monroe, Washtenaw, Livingston, or St. Clair County.
  • Florida applicants receive preference when graduating from Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach County.
  • Maintain at least a 2.5 GPA and satisfactory academic progress.
  • Preference is given to students demonstrating financial need.
  • Preference is given to first-generation college students or students from historically underrepresented populations.
  • Plan to enroll full-time as an undergraduate student at an eligible nonprofit college, university, or postsecondary trade school in the United States or Puerto Rico.

  • Complete the CFSEM common scholarship application.
  • Submit a current academic transcript.
  • Submit two letters of recommendation.
  • Complete the required CFSEM scholarship essays.
  • Provide financial information when seeking financial-need consideration.
  • Provide any additional documentation requested by CFSEM.
