Eligibility

  • Be considered or accepted as a full-time student at an accredited college.
  • Have a qualifying connection to an Illinois dairy farm that contributes checkoff funds to the Illinois Milk Promotion Board as of January 1 of the current calendar year.
  • Qualify through ownership of an Illinois dairy farm by the applicant, parent, guardian, grandparent, or sibling, or through employment on an Illinois dairy farm with a recommendation from the producer employer.
  • Meet all requirements published by the Illinois Division of Midwest Dairy.
  • Former recipients may apply again in a later year if they remain eligible.

Requirements

  • Complete the online scholarship application.
  • Submit a copy of your current academic transcript.
  • Provide two or three letters of reference.
  • Describe your past and present leadership involvement in your school and community.
  • Describe your past and present involvement in the dairy community.
  • Explain your career aspirations and how you will represent the dairy industry through your work after graduation.

  6. 6Recipients must provide a high-resolution photograph, newspaper information form, publicity consent form, and W-9 after selection.
