Midwest Dairy Illinois Educational Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be considered or accepted as a full-time student at an accredited college.
• Have a qualifying connection to an Illinois dairy farm that contributes checkoff funds to the Illinois Milk Promotion Board as of January 1 of the current calendar year.
• Qualify through ownership of an Illinois dairy farm by the applicant, parent, guardian, grandparent, or sibling, or through employment on an Illinois dairy farm with a recommendation from the producer employer.
• Meet all requirements published by the Illinois Division of Midwest Dairy.
• Former recipients may apply again in a later year if they remain eligible.

Requirements

• Complete the online scholarship application.
• Submit a copy of your current academic transcript.
• Provide two or three letters of reference.
• Describe your past and present leadership involvement in your school and community.
• Describe your past and present involvement in the dairy community.
• Explain your career aspirations and how you will represent the dairy industry through your work after graduation.

How to Apply

1. 1Gather your transcript and two or three reference letters before beginning the application because the online form cannot be saved and resumed later.
2. 2Complete the Illinois Division of Midwest Dairy online scholarship application.
3. 3Answer the required questions about leadership, dairy involvement, and career aspirations.
4. 4Upload all required supporting materials.
5. 5Submit the completed application before the annual deadline.
6. 6Recipients must provide a high-resolution photograph, newspaper information form, publicity consent form, and W-9 after selection.
