Michigan Pork Industry Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a Michigan resident.
• Be a current high school senior pursuing an undergraduate degree at a two-year or four-year institution, or a current college freshman, sophomore, or junior.
• College seniors graduating during the award year are not eligible.
• Pursue a career in agricultural business, agricultural education, agricultural engineering, agronomy, animal science, animal physiology, environmental science, nutrition, livestock reproduction, large-animal veterinary medicine, or another related field.
• Demonstrate interest in the future of the pork industry.
• MPPA membership and active involvement in pork production are not required.
• Michigan residents may attend college outside Michigan.
• Students may receive the scholarship more than once, but may receive the top award only once.

Requirements

• Complete the Michigan Pork Industry Scholarship application.
• Submit the application and all required supporting materials by the annual deadline.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm Michigan residency and eligible academic standing.
2. 2Complete the MPPA scholarship application.
3. 3Demonstrate your interest in agriculture and the future of the pork industry.
4. 4Describe your educational and career plans in an eligible agriculture-related field.
5. 5Submit the complete application by January 30.
6. 6Recipients are selected by a judging panel chosen by MPPA.
