Eligibility

  • Be a Michigan Farm Bureau regular member in good standing with a current paid membership.
  • Have participated in at least one county-level Farm Bureau event.
  • Select an external leadership program that aligns with Michigan Farm Bureau leadership-development objectives.
  • Agree to share the experience and leadership skills gained with the applicant's county Farm Bureau.
  • The proposed program cannot be a Michigan Farm Bureau or County Farm Bureau program.

Requirements

  • Complete the electronic scholarship application.
  • Provide documentation of acceptance into the leadership program.
  • Provide an itemized receipt showing proof of payment.
  • Submit proof of participation after the program.
  • Submit three to five photographs showing participation in the event.
  • Be willing to discuss the experience with Michigan Farm Bureau communications staff.

How to Apply

  1. 1Identify an eligible external leadership-development program.
  2. 2Apply to and receive acceptance into the program.
  3. 3Submit the Michigan Farm Bureau scholarship application electronically.
  4. 4Apply at least 60 days before the event when possible.
  5. 5Provide acceptance documentation and program information.
  6. 6Applications submitted by the first of the month are reviewed by the fifteenth.
  7. 7If approved, attend and complete the program.
  8. 8Submit an itemized proof-of-payment receipt.
  9. 9Submit proof of attendance and three to five participation photos.
  10. 10Share the experience and skills gained with the applicant's county Farm Bureau.
