The Michigan Automotive Parts Association Educational Development Scholarship Fund supports full-time employees and legal dependents of full-time employees of MAPA member businesses as they pursue undergraduate education. The scholarship is administered through the Capital Region Community Foundation and uses the Automotive Aftermarket Scholarships common application.

Eligibility

  • Be a full-time employee or legal dependent of a full-time employee of a Michigan Automotive Parts Association member business.
  • Be enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in a two-year or four-year undergraduate degree program.
  • Attend an accredited educational institution located in the United States.
  • The educational institution must qualify as tax-exempt under the Internal Revenue Code.
  • Meet satisfactory academic progress requirements when applying for renewal.

Requirements

  • Complete the Automotive Aftermarket Scholarships common application.
  • Identify the qualifying Michigan Automotive Parts Association sponsor information in the application.
  • Submit the required scholarship essay.
  • Provide academic information or transcripts required through the common application.
  • Follow all application instructions and submit a complete application by the published deadline.
  • Applicants who also want consideration for University of the Aftermarket Foundation awards should provide at least one reference letter.

How to Apply

  3. 3Enter your MAPA sponsor information in the appropriate section.

  6. 6Include at least one reference letter if you also want to be considered for University of the Aftermarket Foundation awards.

  8. 8Your completed common application may also be considered for other Automotive Aftermarket Scholarships awards for which you qualify.
