MI Future Educator Stipend
Offered by MI Student Aid
The MI Future Educator Stipend provides financial support to eligible Michigan student teachers while they complete the required student-teaching experience for their educator preparation program. The stipend is intended to reduce the financial burden of completing unpaid or limited-income student teaching while preparing for initial teacher certification.

Eligibility
- Be participating in the required student-teaching experience for initial teacher certification.
- Be enrolled in an eligible Michigan Educator Preparation Program approved by the Michigan State Board of Education.
- Meet the program requirements established by MI Student Aid and the participating educator preparation institution.
- Not previously have received the MI Future Educator Stipend unless additional eligibility is specifically permitted under program rules.
- Complete student teaching in Michigan unless an approved exception applies.

- Have the eligible Educator Preparation Program verify student-teaching eligibility.
- Complete the required student-teaching experience.
- Meet all applicable institutional and MI Student Aid program requirements.
How to Apply
