Eligibility

  • Be a qualifying family member of an MGEC Full or Supporting Member.
  • Qualifying family relationships include children, stepchildren, grandchildren, step-grandchildren, siblings, and legal wards.
  • Be pursuing a degree in engineering or land surveying.
  • Undergraduate applicants must be entering their junior or senior year.
  • Graduate students pursuing qualifying engineering or land surveying education may also apply.

Requirements

  • Complete the MGEC Family Member Scholarship application.
  • Submit a copy of your most recent academic transcript.
  • Provide information establishing the qualifying relationship to an MGEC member.
  • Complete all written responses and information requested on the current application.

How to Apply

  1. 1Confirm that your qualifying relative is an MGEC Full or Supporting Member.
  2. 2Confirm that your engineering or land surveying degree and class standing meet the program requirements.
  3. 3Download and complete the Family Member Scholarship application.
  4. 4Obtain a copy of your most recent transcript.
  5. 5Submit the application and transcript to MGEC by email, fax, or mail before the annual deadline.
  6. 6Scholarship recipients are selected in July and announced in August.
  7. 7If awarded, provide proof of tuition payment to receive reimbursement.
