Members First Credit Union Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be the primary owner of a Members First Credit Union account in good standing.
• Attend or have graduated from an accredited high school.
• Be accepted to or enrolled in an accredited institution and/or be working toward a first undergraduate degree.
• Employees, immediate family members of employees, board members, and immediate family members of board members are not eligible.

Requirements

• Complete the Members First scholarship application.
• Submit either a 200-500 word essay or short prerecorded video responding to one of the annual For the Joy of It prompts.
• Submit a high school or college transcript; unofficial transcripts are accepted.
• Submit an additional essay outlining goals, aspirations, college plans, and career plans.
• Provide information about community activities, honors, and work experience.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm primary ownership of a Members First account in good standing.
2. 2Complete the annual scholarship application.
3. 3Choose either the written essay or prerecorded video option for the For the Joy of It response.
4. 4Explain either what brings you joy or how you spread joy and purpose in your community.
5. 5Prepare the separate goals and aspirations essay.
6. 6Upload a high school or college transcript.
7. 7Provide community, honors, work-experience, education, and career information.
8. 8Submit the complete application during the annual scholarship period.
