The MBEX / TBG Construction Scholarship supports students attending accredited postsecondary institutions in Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin who are pursuing careers in the skilled trades, construction management, engineering, and other construction-related fields.

Eligibility

  • Pursue a construction-related field at an accredited trade school, two-year college, or four-year university.
  • Attend an accredited postsecondary institution located in Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, or Wisconsin.
  • Enter the applicable fall semester as a freshman, sophomore, or junior.
  • Students whose degree requires more than four years may also qualify.
  • Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in building a career in the construction industry.
  • Agree to attend at least one MBEX-sponsored event during the applicable academic year.
  • Previous recipients may reapply if they continue to meet eligibility requirements.

Requirements

  • Complete the online MBEX scholarship application.
  • Submit an official high school or college transcript.
  • Submit one letter of recommendation.
  • Complete the required essay.
  • Agree to participate in at least one MBEX-sponsored event if selected.
