The MATA Professional Level Scholarship supports first- and second-year graduate students enrolled in CAATE-approved professional athletic training degree programs who are preparing to graduate, sit for the Board of Certification examination, and begin professional careers in athletic training.

Eligibility
- Be a first- or second-year graduate student enrolled in a CAATE-approved professional athletic training degree program.
- Be preparing to graduate with an athletic training degree and sit for the BOC exam during the 2025-26 or 2026-27 academic year.
- Intend to pursue a professional career in athletic training.
- Have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Be a Minnesota Athletic Trainers' Association member in good standing.
Requirements
- Complete the MATA Professional Level Scholarship application.
- Submit a typed one-page essay about interest in athletic training, professional goals, and aspirations.
- Submit one letter of recommendation from a sponsoring athletic trainer.
- Submit current transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate athletic training coursework.
- Provide information about athletic training experience, conferences, organizations, activities, leadership positions, awards, and recognitions.
