MATA ElevATe Professional Level Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be enrolled in an athletic training education program or be an athletic trainer pursuing a post-graduate professional degree in athletic training or a related field during the applicable academic year.
• Demonstrate intent to continue professional work related to athletic training.
• Meet all current Minnesota Athletic Trainers' Association membership and professional requirements.

Requirements

• Complete the MATA ElevATe scholarship application.
• Submit a typed one-page essay describing interest in athletic training, professional goals, aspirations, and experiences that elevated the applicant's desire to practice and serve others.
• Submit one letter of recommendation from a sponsoring athletic trainer.
• Submit current transcripts for undergraduate and athletic training or post-graduate coursework.
• Provide athletic training experience, leadership roles, conferences, activities, awards, and professional information.

How to Apply

2. 2Complete the scholarship application.
3. 3Prepare the required one-page essay.
4. 4Request a recommendation letter from a sponsoring athletic trainer.
5. 5Gather current undergraduate and post-graduate transcripts.
6. 6Submit the application and essay electronically.
7. 7Mail the recommendation letter and transcript materials so they are postmarked by the annual deadline.
