Eligibility

  • Meet applicable Massachusetts residency requirements.
  • Be enrolled in an eligible undergraduate program at a Massachusetts public college or university.
  • Complete the FAFSA or Massachusetts Application for State Financial Aid (MASFA), as applicable.
  • Meet applicable state financial aid eligibility requirements.
  • Demonstrate financial need or meet the applicable MASSGrant Plus income and aid criteria.
  • Not have previously earned a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
  • Meet all additional institutional and Massachusetts Department of Higher Education eligibility requirements.

Requirements

  • Complete the FAFSA or MASFA for the applicable academic year.
  • Submit the financial aid application by the state priority deadline for strongest consideration.
  • Enroll at an eligible Massachusetts public institution.
  • Complete any financial aid verification or documentation requested by the institution.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
  • Reapply for financial aid each year.
