Mary J. Yamamoto Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a young woman graduating from high school in Washoe County, Nevada, or Huron County, Michigan.
• Plan to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school for a certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree.
• Have at least a 2.5 GPA.
• Have at least a 1000 SAT score or 22 ACT score.
• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Agree to maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.

Requirements

• Complete the Community Foundation online application.
• Submit a transcript.
• Submit a recommendation letter from a high-school teacher, faculty member, or current employer.
• Submit an acceptance letter from the chosen accredited institution.
• Submit an essay explaining the chosen course of study, intended accomplishments, and anticipated impact on the applicant and family.

3. 3Complete the matched application and upload the transcript, recommendation, acceptance letter, and essay.
