MAELC Agricultural Education for All Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Be firmly committed to teaching agricultural education in Minnesota.
• Undergraduate applicants must be entering or enrolled in an Agricultural Education-Teacher Licensure program at Southwest Minnesota State University, University of Minnesota-Crookston, or University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
• Graduate applicants must be entering or enrolled in the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Master of Science Initial or Additional Licensure program in Agricultural Education.
• Incoming freshmen, transfer students, current undergraduate students, and qualifying graduate students may apply.
• Students may receive this scholarship more than once.

Requirements

• Complete the MAELC scholarship application.
• Answer the required essay questions.
• Submit an unofficial transcript.
• Submit a resume.
• Provide information about financial need.
• Describe agricultural education career plans.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm enrollment or planned enrollment in a qualifying Agricultural Education teacher-licensure program.
2. 2Complete the online MAELC application.
3. 3Prepare the required written responses.
4. 4Upload an unofficial transcript and resume.
5. 5Submit the complete application by February 1.
