Eligibility

  • Be a resident of Montana.
  • Be degree-seeking and enrolled in at least six credits.
  • Have a GPA of at least 2.5.
  • Pursue a certificate, Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science, or Bachelor of Science program.
  • Study equipment operations, mechanics, civil engineering, or another transportation-related field.
  • Applicants without a previous GPA may have GED, COMPASS, ACT, or SAT scores reviewed to determine academic eligibility.
  • Adult learners and students beginning or continuing their education are eligible.

Requirements

  • Complete and sign the scholarship application.
  • Submit high school and college transcripts when applicable.
  • Submit one recommendation letter from a non-relative.
  • Submit an essay of no more than 500 words explaining how receiving the MACRS Scholarship would benefit you.
