The Mid-Michigan Manufacturers Association Scholarship supports students, employees, and families connected to manufacturing in Mid-Michigan. The program helps students pursue college, university, trade, vocational, and registered apprenticeship education aligned with careers in manufacturing, engineering, skilled trades, and related fields.

Eligibility

  • Meet at least one of the two primary eligibility pathways: be an employee or immediate family member of an M3A member company, or attend school in Arenac, Bay, Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Isabella, Midland, or Saginaw County.
  • Have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • Plan to enroll or currently be enrolled in an eligible college or university program, trade or vocational school, or registered apprenticeship program.
  • Demonstrate an interest in manufacturing, engineering, skilled trades, or a related career.

Requirements

  • Complete the M3A Scholarship application.
  • Submit a copy of your most recent academic transcript.
  • Submit the required scholarship essay.
  • Submit references through the application.
  • Provide information about school activities.
  • Provide work experience information.
  • Provide community activity information.
  • Provide applicable certifications.

How to Apply

  1. 1Confirm eligibility through either an M3A member-company connection or attendance at a school in one of the eight qualifying Mid-Michigan counties.
  2. 2Confirm that you have at least a 2.5 GPA.
  3. 3Complete the online M3A Scholarship application.
  4. 4Provide your academic and educational information.
  5. 5Upload your most recent transcript.
  6. 6Document school activities, work experience, community involvement, and certifications.
  7. 7Prepare and upload the required essay.
  8. 8Prepare and upload the requested references.
  9. 9Submit the complete application between April 21 and May 31.
