Loren Kreck – Edwin Fields Wilderness Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a graduate student at a Montana institution of higher education.
• Use your education to advocate for and promote wilderness protection and preservation.
• Pursue work that aligns with the spirit and purpose of the scholarship.
• Eligible areas may include wildlife biology, ecology, environmental studies, environmental law, public policy, journalism, literature, expressive arts, and other fields connected to wilderness advocacy.

Requirements

• Submit a curriculum vitae that includes your personal history of wilderness advocacy.
• Submit a letter of intent describing your planned course of study and how it applies to the spirit of the scholarship.
• Submit proof of acceptance to a Montana graduate institution.
• Submit a statement of financial need.

How to Apply

2. 2Write a letter of intent explaining your planned graduate studies and their connection to wilderness protection and preservation.
3. 3Obtain proof of acceptance to your Montana graduate institution.
4. 4Prepare a general statement explaining your financial need, including relevant educational expenses or extenuating circumstances.
5. 5Submit the complete application package to the North Fork Preservation Association Awards/Scholarship Committee by June 30.
