Lester & Adrianna Langeland Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be the dependent of a current Ottawa County Farm Bureau Regular Member or, if married or age 21 or older, hold the applicant's own Ottawa County Farm Bureau membership.
• Have approximately a 2.75 GPA or higher.
• Be accepted to or enrolled in an accredited institution.
• Pursue an agriculture-related course of study.
• Maintain a 2.75 GPA during the fall semester after receiving the scholarship to receive payment.

Requirements

• Complete the Lester & Adrianna Langeland Scholarship application.
• Provide information about agriculture involvement, scholastic honors, activities, college plans, and career goals.
• Address questions about future agricultural issues and the applicant's planned contribution to agriculture.
• Provide two non-family references.
• Provide Farm Bureau membership information.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm Farm Bureau membership eligibility.
2. 2Complete the scholarship application.
3. 3Describe agriculture, FFA, 4-H, employment, or other relevant involvement.
4. 4Explain the agricultural issues you believe will affect Ottawa County and how your career can help address them.
5. 5Distribute reference questionnaires to two non-family references.
6. 6Submit the application by the annual May 1 deadline.
7. 7Top applicants may be interviewed.
8. 8If selected, maintain at least a 2.75 fall GPA and provide the transcript before receiving payment.
