Lake Trust Foundation New Beginnings Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a Michigan resident.
• Be a Lake Trust Credit Union member or eligible for Lake Trust Credit Union membership.
• Attend a career technical education program or trade school, or be enrolled and majoring in a technical field at a Michigan college or university within the calendar year.
• Be a Lake Trust Credit Union member in good standing when the scholarship is awarded.
• Previous Lake Trust Credit Union Foundation scholarship recipients are not eligible.
• Lake Trust employees, contract employees, board members, and specified immediate family members are not eligible.

Requirements

• Complete the Lake Trust scholarship application.
• Submit an explanation describing future career plans in the applicant's chosen technical career.
• Submit a reference letter of one page or less from a non-family member.
• Provide tuition statements or receipts before scholarship funds are disbursed.

How to Apply

1. 1Confirm Michigan residency and Lake Trust membership or membership eligibility.
2. 2Confirm enrollment or planned attendance in an eligible Michigan technical, trade, CTE, college, or university program.
3. 3Complete the online Lake Trust scholarship application.
4. 4Explain your future career plans in your chosen technical field.
5. 5Request a one-page-or-shorter reference letter from a non-family member.
6. 6Submit the application and all supporting materials online before the deadline.
7. 7If selected, maintain Lake Trust membership in good standing.
8. 8Provide tuition statements or applicable receipts before scholarship funds are disbursed.
