Lake Trust Foundation Michigan Impact Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a Michigan resident.
• Be a Lake Trust Credit Union member or eligible for Lake Trust Credit Union membership.
• Be a Lake Trust Credit Union member in good standing when the scholarship is awarded.
• Meet Cleary University admission requirements at the undergraduate or graduate level.
• Be enrolled to attend Cleary University for the Fall 2026 academic year.
• Previous Lake Trust Credit Union Foundation scholarship winners are not eligible.
• Current Cleary University students are not eligible for the 2026 scholarship.
• Lake Trust employees, contract employees, board members, and specified immediate family members are not eligible.

Requirements

• Complete the Lake Trust 2026 Scholarship Application.
• Submit an explanation describing the applicant's chosen field.
• Explain why joining the Michigan labor force is important to the applicant.
• Explain how the applicant plans to make a difference in Michigan communities.
• Submit a reference letter of one page or less from a non-family member.
• Meet Cleary University's admissions requirements.
• Complete the FAFSA if selected as required by Cleary University's admissions process.

2. 2Apply to Cleary University for an eligible undergraduate or graduate program.
3. 3Complete the Lake Trust Michigan Impact Scholarship application.
4. 4Explain your chosen field and why you want to join Michigan's workforce.
5. 5Describe how you plan to use your education to make a difference in Michigan communities.
6. 6Request a reference letter of one page or less from a non-family member.
7. 7Submit the complete application and supporting materials online before the deadline.
8. 8If selected, complete FAFSA requirements established by Cleary University.
9. 9Provide the required Cleary University tuition statement before scholarship funds are disbursed.
