Eligibility

  • Identify as an African American student.
  • Pursue a bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
  • Have a minimum 3.5 unweighted cumulative GPA.
  • Be accepted to an ABET-accredited four-year college or university.
  • Graduate from an eligible Kansas City-area high school or transfer from a greater Kansas City community college.
  • Students attending a Historically Black College or University receive special consideration.

  • Complete the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation General Application.
  • Complete all required supplemental scholarship questions.
  • Submit academic transcripts.
  • Provide all required supporting materials.
