The Karen Denney Nursing Scholarship supports graduating high school seniors pursuing registered nursing careers. Established in memory of longtime Parkview nurse Karen Denney, the scholarship recognizes students who have participated in the Impact Institute's Health Occupations Education (HOE) program and demonstrated academic achievement, service, and a commitment to compassionate nursing.

Eligibility

  • Be a current high school senior.
  • Plan to enter an accredited nursing program leading to RN licensure.
  • Currently participate in or have completed the Impact Institute Health Occupations Education (HOE) program at Parkview Noble Hospital or Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
  • Maintain at least a B average.
  • Demonstrate extracurricular involvement and volunteer service.

Requirements

  • Complete the Parkview Foundation Universal Scholarship Application.
  • Submit one letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, church or community leader, coach, or mentor.
  • Submit an official high school transcript showing grades through the first semester or trimester of the senior year.
  • Provide all requested application information before the deadline.
