Kansas National Guard EMERGE Program

The Kansas National Guard Educational Master's for Enhanced Readiness and Global Excellence (EMERGE) Program provides tuition and required fee assistance to eligible Kansas Air and Army National Guard members pursuing advanced degrees at participating Kansas colleges and universities. Recipients agree to fulfill a post-award military service obligation.

Eligibility

  • Be a current member of the Kansas Air National Guard or Kansas Army National Guard in good standing.
  • Be accepted into an eligible master's, professional, or doctoral degree program.
  • Enroll at an eligible Kansas public or private college or university.
  • Have a FAFSA on file with the institution.
  • Apply for Federal Tuition Assistance, if applicable.

Requirements

  • Complete the EMERGE application.
  • Submit all required documentation to the Adjutant General's Office.
  • Submit an academic transcript to your National Guard unit after each semester.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
  • Maintain the required cumulative GPA.
  • Complete the required Kansas National Guard service obligation.

How to Apply
