The Kansas Corn Next Generation Scholarship supports students from entering college freshmen through PhD level who are pursuing postsecondary education and preparing to make an impact in the corn and agriculture industry. Students of all majors may apply, and technical college students are also eligible.

Eligibility

  • Be entering college as a freshman or be currently enrolled in postsecondary study through the PhD level.
  • Hold a current Kansas Corn Growers Association student membership or have a parent or guardian with a current three-year KCGA membership.
  • Attend an educational institution located in Kansas, including a university, community college, or technical institution, or qualify for out-of-state attendance through Kansas residency or qualifying parent or guardian KCGA membership.
  • Complete the consolidated Kansas Corn Growers Association and National Corn Growers Association scholarship application.
  • Meet all additional requirements established for the current scholarship cycle.

Requirements

  • Complete the consolidated KCGA and NCGA scholarship application.
  • Submit an official postsecondary transcript covering coursework through the most recently completed fall semester.
  • Provide proof of enrollment for the upcoming spring semester.
  • Submit one letter of recommendation from a non-family member.
  • Provide a current résumé highlighting academic, work, leadership, extracurricular, and agricultural experiences.
  • Complete all required essay or written-response portions of the application.
