Eligibility

  • Be a woman.
  • Be of Polish heritage. Non-biological children of Polish parents are encouraged to apply and receive equal consideration.
  • Maintain a permanent address in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampshire, or Hampden County in Western Massachusetts.
  • Be currently enrolled in or accepted to a graduate degree program, or be a nontraditional student returning to undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Have never received a Helen Weber, Polish Junior League Undergraduate, or Josephine Karwoski Memorial Scholarship.

Requirements

  • Complete the Polish Junior League scholarship application.
  • Submit an official college or university transcript.
  • Write the required one-page essay about education, career goals, Polish heritage, and scholarship impact.
  • Submit at least one current recommendation letter.
  • Provide two additional references who are not family members.
  • Submit all required materials by May 1.
