Eligibility

• Plan to pursue postsecondary education or training.
• Complete the JFCS College Scholarship Application in full.
• Provide detailed educational and career plans.
• Provide financial information used to evaluate educational need.
• Meet any additional eligibility requirements associated with individual scholarship funds administered by JFCS.

• Provide personal and contact information.
• Describe educational plans and career goals.
• Provide information about current and previous colleges or universities attended when applicable.
• Provide high school information.
• Describe the intended field of study or training and any specialization.
• Provide information about Jewish affiliation and Jewish education.
• List high school, college, community, and organizational involvement.
• Provide part-time and full-time employment history.
• Provide household income and financial information.
• List financial aid, grants, loans, work-study, Pell Grant assistance, and other scholarships applied for or received.
• Complete the educational resources and expenses budget.
• Provide a narrative explaining circumstances affecting financial need.
• Provide a narrative describing personal merit, talents, accomplishments, experiences, and goals.

How to Apply

2. 2Provide your educational history, intended program, career goals, and future plans.
3. 3Complete the Jewish affiliation and Jewish education sections as applicable.
4. 4Document extracurricular, organizational, community, and employment experience.
5. 5Complete the household financial-information section.
6. 6List other financial aid and scholarships you have applied for.
7. 7Calculate your educational resources, expenses, and remaining financial deficit.
8. 8Write the financial-need narrative.
9. 9Complete the personal-merit narrative describing relevant talents, accomplishments, experiences, and goals.
10. 10Review the entire application for completeness.
11. 11Submit the complete application according to JFCS instructions by the annual deadline.
