Eligibility

  • Have been a resident of Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Monroe, Lenawee, Washtenaw, Livingston, or St. Clair County at the time of high school graduation.
  • Be a high school senior or currently enrolled college student.
  • Maintain approximately a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Have been fatherless while still a minor through death or qualifying permanent termination of parental rights.
  • Pursue an eligible course of study or career in nursing, law, dentistry, or medicine.
  • Attend an eligible Michigan public university.
  • Demonstrate leadership and character through extracurricular activities, community service, volunteer work, or employment.

Requirements

  • Complete the CFSEM common scholarship application.
  • Submit an academic transcript.
  • Submit two recommendation letters.
  • Complete the required scholarship essays.
  • Provide documentation supporting program-specific eligibility when requested.
