Eligibility

  • Be a resident of Minnesota.
  • Be a Minnesota FFA or Minnesota 4-H member.
  • Be a high school senior or current college student.
  • Be enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited postsecondary institution in the United States.
  • Pursue a certificate, diploma, or degree in agriculture or animal husbandry.
  • Students pursuing eligible two-year or four-year programs may apply.

Requirements

  • Complete the Minnesota FFA Foundation scholarship application.
  • Answer three essay questions, with responses limited to no more than 500 words.
  • Submit two letters of reference from non-family members.
  • At least one reference must come from someone who has known or worked with the applicant during the previous 12 months.
  • Recipients must submit a postsecondary transcript after completing the applicable fall semester showing satisfactory academic progress before scholarship payment is issued.

  2. 2Complete the scholarship application.
  3. 3Complete all three required essay responses.
  4. 4Request two non-family letters of reference.
  5. 5Submit the completed application during the scholarship cycle.
  6. 6If selected, complete the fall semester and submit a transcript showing satisfactory academic progress.
  7. 7Scholarship payment is issued after the Foundation receives the required transcript.
