Iowa Turfgrass Industry Scholarships

Eligibility

• Be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in turfgrass management or a related curriculum at an Iowa university, college, area technical school, or community college, or be a graduating high school senior planning to enter an eligible program.
• Graduating high school seniors must provide a college acceptance letter or other documentation of intent to enroll.
• Applicants seeking an Iowa Golf Course Superintendents Association scholarship must be members of that association.
• Applicants seeking an Iowa Sports Field Management Association scholarship must be members of that association.
• Plan to pursue a career in turfgrass management, golf course management, sports field management, or a closely related field.

Requirements

• Complete the official Iowa Turfgrass scholarship application.
• Answer the required essay and short-answer questions.
• Submit a transcript from the school currently attended.
• Provide the required Academic Adviser report.
• Provide report forms from previous employers when applicable.
• Follow the official application format and submission instructions exactly.
• Submit any additional recommendations desired by the applicant.
