Eligibility
- Be an Iowa resident.
- Enroll or plan to enroll at a two-year or four-year college or university.
- Major in an agriculture-related field with an emphasis on the swine industry.
- Maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Incoming Iowa Pork Foundation Scholarships are for incoming college freshmen.
- Returning Iowa Pork Foundation Scholarships are for students continuing college after their freshman year.
- Jim Ledger Memorial Scholarship applicants must attend a college or university in Iowa and demonstrate leadership in their local community.
- Jim & Mary Ellen Ryan Memorial Scholarship applicants must attend a college or university in Iowa and major in an agriculture-related field emphasizing the swine industry or pursue pre-veterinary studies with a large-animal emphasis.
- Preference may be given to applicants connected to Iowa pork producer membership for the Incoming and Returning Iowa Pork Foundation Scholarships.
- Certain Iowa Pork Youth Leadership Team members, Iowa Pork Collegiate Team members, and recipients of designated IPPA internship scholarships may be ineligible during the same award year.
