Iowa Cattlemen’s Foundation Youth Beef Team Scholarship

Eligibility

• Be a graduating high school senior.
• Have received Iowa Cattlemen’s Foundation Youth Beef Team training, served as a county Beef Queen, Princess, or Ambassador, or completed the Master of Beef Advocacy online course.
• Demonstrate involvement in and knowledge of the beef industry.
• Be available to participate in the finalist interview and presentation competition if selected.
• Be present at the scholarship competition to receive an award.

Requirements

• Complete the Iowa Cattlemen’s Foundation Youth Beef Team Scholarship application.
• Provide a cover sheet with personal, school, college, major, and contact information.
• Provide a current photograph.
• Describe extracurricular activities and leadership experience.
• Describe beef-industry promotion and Youth Beef Team activities.
• Complete the required written responses about educational plans, career goals, and the beef industry.
• Submit the complete application by March 1.
• If selected as a finalist, participate in a personal interview.
• If selected as a finalist, deliver a five-to-eight-minute presentation on an issue affecting the beef industry.

1. 1Confirm that you meet one of the Youth Beef Team, county beef ambassador, or Master of Beef Advocacy eligibility pathways.
2. 2Complete the official scholarship application.
3. 3Document leadership, extracurricular activities, beef advocacy, and industry involvement.
4. 4Prepare the required written responses about your education and future plans.
5. 5Submit the complete application by March 1.
6. 6If selected as a finalist, prepare for the interview portion of the competition.
7. 7Develop and practice a five-to-eight-minute presentation on a current beef-industry issue.
8. 8Attend the finalist competition in Ames.
