Eligibility

  • Be a resident of Indiana.
  • Have a parent or legal guardian who is also an Indiana resident.
  • Attend an Indiana educational institution or commute daily to an educational institution outside Indiana.
  • Enter the fall semester with at least 24 completed undergraduate credit hours.
  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate engineering degree program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
  • Be entering at least the sophomore year of college.
  • Be a student member of the National Society of Professional Engineers.
  • Not be the legal dependent of a member of the ISPE Scholarship Committee.

Requirements

  • Complete the Indiana Society of Professional Engineers Education Foundation scholarship application.
  • Submit an official college transcript.
  • Submit a minimum of two recommendations from university or college faculty members.
  • Submit the required letter of transmittal.
  • Maintain free student membership in the National Society of Professional Engineers.
  • Provide information verifying Indiana residency and enrollment in an ABET-EAC accredited engineering program.

How to Apply

  1. 1Confirm that your engineering degree program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
  2. 2Join the National Society of Professional Engineers as a student member if you are not already a member.
  3. 3Download and complete the ISPE Education Foundation scholarship application.
  4. 4Request at least two faculty recommendation letters.
  5. 5Obtain an official college transcript.
  6. 6Prepare the required letter of transmittal.
  7. 7Submit the complete application package to the designated scholarship chair by March 31.
