The Indiana National Guard Tuition Supplement Grant provides substantial education assistance to eligible members of the Indiana Air and Army National Guard. Eligibility

  • Be an active, participating member of the Indiana Air or Army National Guard in good standing.
  • Not have been absent without leave during the 12 months before enrollment for the applicable academic term.
  • Be a high school graduate, homeschool graduate, or GED recipient.
  • Attend or be accepted by an eligible Indiana college, university, or approved certificate provider.
  • Pursue the first associate, bachelor's, or master's degree at that degree level or an eligible certificate.
  • Enroll either part time or full time.
  • Complete the current-year FAFSA and list the eligible Indiana institution.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress at the attending institution.
  • Apply for and use other available federal and state financial assistance when required.
  • Complete all Indiana National Guard certification and education paperwork before classes begin.

Requirements

  • Complete the FAFSA for each academic year.
  • Create or maintain an active ScholarTrack account.
  • Submit the National Guard Tuition Supplement Grant application through ScholarTrack.
  • Complete any required Federal Tuition Assistance application when eligible.
  • Obtain certification from the applicant's Indiana National Guard unit commander.
  • Submit all branch-specific education paperwork before the start of each semester.
  • Remain in good standing with the Indiana National Guard.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
  • Reapply for the FAFSA, Federal Tuition Assistance, and the grant each academic year.
