The Immediate Needs Emergency Grant Program provides emergency financial assistance to eligible Missouri college students who face a specific and urgent financial need that threatens their ability to continue their education. Unlike a traditional scholarship, students are identified by an employee at an eligible Missouri institution and recommended for assistance by the school's Financial Aid Director.

Eligibility

  • Attend an eligible Missouri institution.
  • Experience a specific and urgent financial need that creates a barrier to educational success.
  • Be identified as an eligible student by an employee at the institution.
  • Be recommended for assistance by the institution's Financial Aid Director.

Requirements

  • Receive the required recommendation from the school's Financial Aid Director.
  • Provide any documentation requested by the institution or Missouri Scholarship & Loan Foundation.

How to Apply

  1. 1Contact the financial aid office or appropriate student-support office at the institution if an urgent financial barrier threatens continued enrollment.
  2. 2The institution determines whether the student may qualify for the Immediate Needs Emergency Grant.
  3. 3An eligible student is identified by a school employee.
  4. 4The Financial Aid Director recommends the student to the Missouri Scholarship & Loan Foundation.
  5. 5Provide any additional documentation requested during review.
