The ILLCF ¡Soy el Futuro! Scholarship provides financial support and leadership development to Latino students whose home residence is Illinois. The program supports students pursuing certificates, vocational or trade credentials, associate and undergraduate degrees, and graduate degrees.

Eligibility

  • Identify as Latino.
  • Have a home residence in Illinois.
  • Be enrolled part-time or full-time in an eligible college, university, certificate program, vocational school, technical school, or trade school.
  • Be pursuing a certificate, vocational or technical credential, associate degree, undergraduate degree, master's degree, or doctoral degree.
  • Have never previously received an ILLCF scholarship.
  • Students without immigration status and DACA recipients whose home residence is Illinois are welcome to apply.

Requirements

  • Complete the online scholarship application in one sitting.
  • Submit a letter of recommendation with the application.
  • Provide the recommender's full name, organization, email address, and telephone number.
  • Submit any additional materials required for the applicant's program or application pathway.
  • Prepare a personal statement, business template, or other supporting document when requested by the application.
