Eligibility

  • Be a high school senior applying through one AIEC member cooperative.
  • Qualify through a parent who currently receives eligible cooperative service, or the employee/director-family route under the official rules.
  • Begin undergraduate study within one year and enroll full time for at least 12 hours.
  • Six awards require attendance at a two-year Illinois community college; select the appropriate category.

Requirements

  • Provide GPA, parent/guardian consent, activity and work information, biographical and financial statements.
  • Write two original essays of no more than 500 words each.
  • Follow the sponsor's prohibition on AI and other writing tools. Test scores are optional on the current form; finalists may be asked for a video.
