Idaho Opportunity Scholarship for Adult Learners

The Idaho Opportunity Scholarship for Adult Learners helps Idaho residents return to college after a break in enrollment. The scholarship supports students completing eligible certificates, associate degrees, or their first bachelor's degree at participating Idaho institutions.

Eligibility

  • Be an Idaho resident.
  • Have completed at least 24 college-level credits before applying.
  • Have experienced a break in postsecondary enrollment.
  • Have at least a 2.5 cumulative college GPA.
  • Pursue an eligible certificate, associate degree, or first bachelor's degree.
  • Attend or plan to attend a participating Idaho institution.
  • Demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA.
  • Not already hold a bachelor's degree.
  • Meet satisfactory academic progress and all additional Idaho State Board of Education requirements.

Requirements

  • Complete the Scholarship Idaho application.
  • Complete the FAFSA for the applicable academic year.
  • Provide prior college transcripts or academic records.
  • Provide information documenting the break in enrollment.
  • Submit any residency, enrollment, financial-aid, or academic documentation requested.
  • Complete annual renewal requirements if selected.
