The Idaho Opportunity Scholarship provides need-based financial assistance to eligible Idaho residents pursuing their first associate or bachelor's degree at a participating Idaho college or university. Awards may be renewed for up to four academic years.

Eligibility

  • Be an Idaho resident.
  • Graduate or have graduated from an eligible Idaho high school, Idaho homeschool program, or equivalent Idaho secondary-education pathway.
  • Have at least a 2.7 unweighted cumulative GPA.
  • Be pursuing a first undergraduate degree.
  • Enroll at an eligible Idaho college or university.
  • Demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA.
  • Meet satisfactory academic progress requirements.
  • Meet all additional Idaho State Board of Education eligibility requirements.

Requirements

  • Complete the Scholarship Idaho application.
  • Complete the FAFSA for the applicable academic year.
  • Provide academic and residency information.
  • Submit any verification or supporting documents requested by the State Board or institution.
  • Complete the annual renewal process for continued funding.
